Five Websites for Event Planners

While continuing my research about event planning, I've come across a number of websites that are both useful and resourceful. From these websites listed below, you can find information about current news, exceptional ideas, and even how to organize documents. Check them out!

1. Biz Bash
Biz Bash is a website that covers a broad spectrum of event planning. It doesn't limit itself to strictly one element of the business, but provides rather an in-depth look at all areas of the business. They have a very convenient venues link that allows planners to locate venues in a specific city or area, and also read about what kind of events have been there. I found this tool very unique and is a great asset to this website.

2. Pinterest
Pinterest is a very well-known website by people across the country. Pinterest allows users to upload, save, and manage "pins" through personalized pinboards. Users can make an account and "follow" other users that share common interests or projects. Pinterest bases its company around do-it-yourself, how-to, and recipe-like styles. Event planners may find this website useful because it allows you to search a specific project or topic, and find millions of ways to execute it. Because of Pinterest's unique, helpful assets, event planners have found that most of their clients' wants and desires are from projects that they found on Pinterest. I have seen brides come into the florist that I work at with pinboards filled with wedding bouquets and centerpieces that they found on Pinterest. It's the perfect solution to finding the perfect solution!

3. Social Media Examiner

I came across this website while researching how to expand an event planning company and make yourself known. Social media does just that. Technology is at a person's dispense almost all day long, and is advancing every single day. In our world today, talking to someone on the phone is rare and email is the most popular form of communication. Some event planning companies are small, privately-owned businesses that are looking for a way to make themselves known. This website illustrates how to advertise and market your company through a number of social media sites, while also giving insight into the "do's and don'ts" of the technology field. I find it to be a very advantageous benefit when it comes to advertising yourself and your company.

4. Evernote

This website should be your best friend if you're an event planner. Evernote is a website, and also a mobile app, that allows you to write, collect, share, and present any document you create. Documents can be anything from a lengthy proposal to a short list. You can create just about any document and access it on a computer or a mobile device. It's perfect for an on-the-go type of planner, which in all honesty, is most planners.

5. Capsule

Photos of your beautifully executed event and your happy, smiling clients are an essential part of selling your business. But trying to get those breathtaking, professionally photographed pictures from your clients' control is sometimes harder than actually planning the event. This is where Capsule can help. Capsule is a website, and also a mobile app, that allows clients and their guests to upload pictures of the event to one single place. Your company should have a shared account, because it will give you access to your clients' professional pictures, as well as their guests' pictures, to be used at your disposal. If you think you may have trouble convincing your clients to upload their personal photos on the internet, inform them about Capsule's fantastic features, including making a photo album of their pictures straight from the website.
